Good. Pay your taxes amazon. Why should they not have to? If there were a federal law in place they would have no other options. No more tax breaks for corporations.
Don't you mean pay your taxes Amazon customers? The reprieve was on people living in SC not having to pay sales tax on things they buy via Amazon.

I do have a lens coat on my 400mm, and the greatest benefit for me is that it keeps my hands warmer in our cold Canadian winter since I'm not holding onto bare metal.
Down here, we have these things called gloves... :D
On a serious note, I find that the pre-shaped neoprene Kayaker's gloves work well, as well as everything else you might need to touch in the winter- I can operate my camera gear without removing them and shove them into a pair of mittens while I'm waiting around.

I'm not sure what it says above but Holiday bump. Asking $250 for everything. I would only trade for an ipod video but would really prefer some cashola via paypal and in the states ONLY. You can figure on paying $215+ range for the camera alone. I'm not sure what the card is now but it should be $100ish retail and no less than half that on ebay. So you're getting this mint used camera with the card, case, and extra battery .....with battery charger ofcourse for a pretty rockin deal. This would make an excellent gift since it is compact and yields stellar results. This will outperform your standard kodak easycrap 4mp camera or any of the lower line canon's...you know, that garbage that they sell cheap at christmas. So somebody......please buy!!

Oooh, I think I remember that vaguely...But four channels was the best. You had to use up two channels at a time to actually get the sound out of both speakers. But some of the music was *amazing*... Ahhh, good old 8-bit Ensoniq guts. :)
i still listen to old school mods.. i love this music. there are so many wonderful artists out there that people have no clue exist.

I have decided to make a thread because I have exhausted all my means of club searching, I have yet to get bad advice from MR, and lots of good clubs try to stay underground.
I love to dance. I try to dance 4 times a week, but usually I only get 3 nights per week. Wednesdays are always annoying because I can't ever find a club to go to and I have no class on Thursday, so I can sleep in.
So if anyone here is familiar with clubs in New York City, please help me out:
I'm gay - so a gay club is preferable, but I'd be more than willing to go to a straight club if they have good music. Mixed clubs are a lot of fun too. A place like webster hall, which isn't mixed at all would be a last resort.
I'm a poor student - free is preferable, but I'd be willing to pay up to $15, depending on how much I feel like dancing (which is usually quite a bit :p).
I want to dance, not lounge! So no lounges or bars, please!
I'm only 18, so 21+ clubs aren't possible. I don't have a fake ID, I don't drink.
I'm in Manhattan, and I'm not so keen about riding the subway from too far away back to my dorm at 3-5AM after I'm done dancing. So, a club in Manhattan would be nice, near Union Square would be awesome. I like to walk to/from clubs to warm up/cool down my legs. :)
It really is driving me nuts staying pent up in my dorm on Wednesday nights, when I'm in a dancing mood, so you have no idea how much I'll love you if you can find me a good place to go dancing on Wed. nights.
Thanks :),

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor came to Speaker John Boehners side Monday, promising action by Friday to defend the Defense of Marriage Act, now that President Barack Obama has said he wont.
I stand by [Boehners] commitment to make that happen, Cantor (R-Va.) said Monday afternoon at a press conference, promising to outline their plans in detail Friday.
Cantor said the Justice Departments refusal to defend the law is a problem separate from the substance of the law itself, which allows states to decide whether to recognize same-sex unions in other states. The Justice Department has called another provision, that bars same-sex couples from receiving federal-worker benefits, unconstitutional.
Again I do believe that this is a case that is distinguishable on its merits and to have the administration take the position, the president take the position, that hes not defending the law of the land, is something very troubling I think to most members of the House, Cantor said.
When pressed on what House Republicans planned to do, he demurred.
I think youll see that on Friday, Cantor said.
In a taped interview posted Monday, Boehner (R-Ohio) said the GOP-controlled House could appoint a special counsel to defend the law commonly known as DOMA, a suggestion first made by former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.).
Its an option being considered. Boehner said during an appearance on The Christian Broadcasting Network. Id be very surprised if the House didnt decide that they were going to defend law.
His office is currently researching several legal options and seeking feedback from other Republicans to determine how to proceed, Boehner said. A decision likely will be made by the end of the week.
Im really disappointed in the president and the Department of Justice in the fact that theyre not going to defend a law that Congress passed overwhelmingly. Its their responsibility to do that. Boehner said. But if the president wont lead, if the president wont defend DOMA, then youll see the House of Representatives defend our actions in passing a bill that frankly passed overwhelmingly.
While taking legal action doesnt require a vote in the House, the lower chamber could decide to pass a resolution reaffirming their support for DOMA and reiterating their justification for passing it in the first place.
A handful of Republicans, including House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith (R-Texas), have already filed friend-of-the-court briefs, backing the law in a number of court cases where its constitutionality is being challenged.
Were working with leadership to examine all the legal options before Congress, said a senior Judiciary Committee aide.
But gay-rights activists say theres a whiff of hypocrisy from the GOPs pledge.
Republican leaders have been claiming to want to focus on the economy, yet their insertion into this case would represent a hypocritical departure from that position, said Michael Cole-Schwartz, a spokesman for the Human Rights Campaign, a gay-rights advocacy group.
Thats the same argument Republicans made last week as they criticized President Barack Obama for ordering his Justice Department to stop defending the 15-year-old law that defines marriage as a union between one man and one woman: Why was the president wading into a hot-button social issue now if his top priorities are jobs and the economy?
Anticipating that Republicans will mount a rigorous defense of DOMA, the Human Rights Campaign has been taken steps to fight back. Its leaders sent e-mail alerts to thousands of its supporters, launched a petition seeking to block the House from intervening, and have been huddling with Capitol Hill allies to develop a strategy.
Were all prepared for [Republicans] to intervene in some way, Cole-Schwartz said. The question is how do they do it, how do they roll it out, and what kind of political hay they want to make of it?

I used to buy lots of single player games way back, but these days i find the AI in the types of games i like to play to be far to predictable, gets boring very quickly
I think the only recent single player game i played through was HalfLife 2, and of course epesode1, but i mainly bought HL2 for the multiplayer mods and other content

Syphon Filter is a really good action game, plenty of things to keep you busy. Not sure about MGS : Portable Ops because they STILL haven't released it in the UK, but it looks amazing and has reviews to back it, so that might be a worthwhile purchase.

While the 3D thing might not interest you, the 3DS is much more powerful than the current DSi, meaning much better graphic capabilities. So if you ever want to play anything other than Pokemon Black in the next couple of years you should wait for the 3DS.
If you're not really interested in gaming on the DS or doing anything other than Pokemon Black go ahead and save some money buying the DSi.
